A new way to play with texture
First, we are set to change the way manufacturers play with texture when creating gummy candies with new additions to our Gelamyl product range.
Gelamyl 625 is an innovative gelling agent that brings unprecedented convenience and quality to plant-based gummies. With our patented technology, it is the first potato starch-based gelling agent that can dry at ambient temperatures of 25°C (77°F) and above while offering a stable product with a chewy bite.
It can serve as the sole gelling agent, creating soft, chewy, non-sticky gummies after 72 hours of drying at room temperature. Alternatively, it can partially replace gelatin, reducing costs without compromising quality, and drying in 48 hours.
Also debuting is Gelamyl 805, the newest addition to our 800 Gelamyl series. This gelling agent offers elastic, semi-firm textures for fully plant-based sugar confectionery. This allows manufacturers to explore a wider range of textures, mouthfeel, and bite, making their products truly stand out.
Unlocking the stretch in plant-based cheese
Secondly, we are introducing a groundbreaking addition to our CheeseMaker product range, a world first for the plant-based cheese industry.
This new, unique potato starch-based solution can produce plant-based pizza cheese with a long, thick stretch and a firm bite, retaining its properties across a wide temperature range. The cheese shreds easily with minimal smear and stickiness, offering the look and feel of traditional pizza cheese.
This world-first solution creates the much-desired stretch in plant-based cheese, and we are very excited to bring this new ingredient to FI Europe.
